About

Dr. Sruthi K S is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Central University of Karnataka, with her doctoral thesis focused on exploring the multi-dimensional risk factors, protective factors, consequences, and self-management strategies of cardiac anxiety among young adults. Her areas of specialization lie in Health Psychology and Clinical Psychology with a focused interest in cardiac anxiety, cardiovascular health, mental health of young adults, and mental health help-seeking behaviour.

Before joining RV University, she was working as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Basic Sciences at SR University, Warangal, Telangana, and also served as the Assistant Dean-Research in the same department.

She has qualified UGC NET & JRF in 2022 and GATE (AIR 623) in 2025. She is a university third-rank holder in the Psychology Postgraduate Examination (Central University of Karnataka) and a university seventh-rank holder in the Psychology Undergraduate Examination (Calicut University, Kerala).
Dr. Sruthi has published her research works in reputed Scopus-indexed Q1 journals with Publishers such as Nature Portfolio and Springer Nature. She has presented seven research papers at various international and national conferences. Also, she has conducted several research-related workshops, particularly on systematic literature review and qualitative research methods for students, research scholars, and professionals. She also served as a peer reviewer for various reputable journals, including Frontiers in Psychology (Sections such as Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Organizational Psychology), Frontiers in Psychiatry, Frontiers in Health Services, Frontiers in Public Health, and Discover Mental Health.
