About

Dr. Prakash S. Goudanavar is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 26 years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. He currently serves as Professor and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at RV University, Mysuru. With a strong commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Dr. Goudanavar has played a pivotal role in shaping pharmacy education through curriculum development, research mentoring, and institutional leadership.

His core areas of expertise include novel drug delivery systems, nanotechnology-based formulations, and Quality by Design (QbD)-driven pharmaceutical development. He has made significant contributions to advancing formulation science, focusing on improving therapeutic efficacy, safety, and patient compliance. His research work is reflected in numerous publications in reputed national and international journals, along with presentations at leading scientific conferences.

Dr. Goudanavar is an active member of professional bodies such as the Controlled Release Society (CRS), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). He has guided several postgraduate students and research scholars, fostering a culture of inquiry, innovation, and scientific rigor.

Ferroptosis-centered strategies: redefining therapeutic resistance & adaptation in modern oncology. Apoptosis 2026 Ferroptosis is a new regulated cell death process, independent of apoptosis, necroptosis, and pyroptosis, which offers a promising therapeutic opportunity characterised by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and mitochondrial membrane condensation. This has the advantage of being able to bypass the caspase-independent mechanism, thus avoiding apoptosis resistance in heterogeneous and drug-refractory tumours.
