Driven by the pure purpose of teaching, continuous learning, and developing meaningful solutions that positively impact the lives of others, Dr. Preethi P is an accomplished academician and researcher with 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Over the years, she has consistently contributed to academic excellence, research advancement, institutional development, innovation, and student mentoring.

She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, with her research focusing on the application of Machine Learning and Image Processing in Epigraphy and Ancient Archaeology. She also holds an M.Tech and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

Her research interests span the Theory and Applications of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Her research philosophy is rooted in developing a strong understanding of the theoretical foundations, methodologies, algorithms, and emerging subdomains of Artificial Intelligence, while translating these concepts into practical and efficient solutions for challenging real-world problems. Her work is driven by the belief that technology should not merely advance innovation, but should also create meaningful impact and improve lives.

Throughout my academic journey, I have made contributions to student mentoring and research guidance, having guided 250+ undergraduate students in their academic projects and 10+ M.Tech students in their postgraduate projects. Also published 40+ research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences and has contributed to innovation through 6 published patents.

With a strong commitment to academic and professional excellence, she is passionate about teaching, mentoring, research, innovation, and knowledge sharing. She continuously strives to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, encouraging students and fellow researchers to explore emerging technologies and develop solutions with social and practical relevance.
